APRA have recently announced a proposal to extend Phase 2 timelines for the Superannuation Data Transformation (SDT) project. While this gives more time, APRA have also communicated increased expectations – these extended timelines are to allow superannuation entities to develop robust reporting solutions and deliver quality reporting.

APRA's Superannuation Data Transformation (SDT) is a multi-year project which aims to drive better industry practices and improve member outcomes by significantly enhancing the comparability and consistency of reported data. APRA is proposing to consult on a wide range of topics in Phase 2 of the SDT project, while also decommissioning reporting through D2A by 2025. APRA has deferred formal industry consultation from September 2022 to March 2023, however, has noted it will commence informal consultation in September.

Even though APRA has announced an extended implementation period for Phase 2, it has also communicated its increased expectations of the superannuation industry.

In this webinar, we reviewed the new Superannuation Data Transformation announcements, and look into the experience of Phase 1 and how you can best prepare for Phase 2.

Agenda of the webinar on 13th of October 2022:
